We raise Jack Russell Terriers mainly for Upland bird hunting. Our dogs are bred for endurance, temperament, and natural hunting ability. This may sound a little unorthodox, but it defiantly works. Currently we have four dogs in our kennel, three bitches and one male. We have hunted over our two oldest, Willy and Sadie for three years in Colorado, Kansas, and North Dakota, harvesting Pheasants, Grouse, and Quail.
These dogs do not quit, they will go all day in the field without fatigue. They have incredible natural instincts, good nose's, and will retrieve. Also at the end of the hunt they will cuddle up on your lap. They do not eat much, don't take up much room, and need very little care.( No burrs to comb out) The dogs we raise also make good pets, easy to train, and if raised properly have very even temperaments. Like any dog they need training and we have found Tritronic collars work very well.
